How it works
From file to finished in three steps
Drop your image
Drag a file in, paste from your clipboard, or click to pick one — JPG, PNG, WebP, HEIC.
Pick a tool
Remove a background, erase an object, upscale, compress, edit — whatever the photo needs.
Download
Save the result instantly. It was processed on your device — nothing ever left your tab.
Why it's different
Most image tools upload your photos. This one doesn't.
Private by design
Processing happens on your device. Your files are never sent to a server — you can go offline after the page loads and it still works.
Instant, no round-trip
No upload wait, no queue. The work runs locally, so most edits are done in seconds.
Free, forever
No Pro tier, no watermark, no usage caps. There's nothing to pay and nothing gated.
No accounts, no tracking
No sign-up, no email, no analytics tied to your files. Open it and go.
The story
Built because every “free” image tool wanted my photos, email, or money.
WorkInProcess is a one-person project by Dries Albert in Hasselt, Belgium — no company, no investors, no data funnel. Just tools that do the job and leave your files alone.
Questions
Honestly, no catch
- Is it really free?
- Yes — every tool, no account, no watermark, no usage caps. Free forever; donations are optional and nothing is gated behind them.
- Do you upload my images?
- No. Everything runs in your browser, so your files never reach a server. You can disconnect from the internet after the page loads and most tools still work.
- Do I need an account?
- No sign-up, no email, no tracking tied to your files. Open it and start.
- What file types are supported?
- JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF, and HEIC/HEIF (auto-converted). Images up to 50 MB and 4096×4096 px.
- How can the AI run without a server?
- Modern browsers run machine-learning models locally via WebAssembly and WebGPU. The models download once, then run on your own device.
