A studio that never uploads your files.

WorkInProcess is a set of image tools that run entirely in your browser tab: background removal, object removal, compression, resizing, AI upscaling, colour and effect editing, palette extraction, metadata stripping, and batch operations. All of it happens on your own device.

Nothing is uploaded. There is no server that receives your files, no account to create, no tracking tied to what you edit. You can load the page, disconnect from the internet, and most tools still work. That is not a marketing angle. It is how the thing is built.

How it works.

Modern browsers can run real image processing. WebAssembly and WebGPU let AI models execute locally. The background-removal and inpainting models, the upscaler, the compressor, and all the canvas editing run client-side. The first time you use an AI tool it downloads a small model once, then caches it on your machine.

Why it's free.

There are no servers processing your images, so it costs almost nothing to run. There is no Pro tier and no plan to add one, and no pricing page, because there is nothing to price. Donations are optional and nothing is gated behind them.

Who builds it.

One person: Dries Albert, in Hasselt, Belgium. No company, no investors, no data funnel. Just tools that do the job and leave your files alone.
